REVIEW: BH Cosmetics 120 Palettes (1st, 3rd, and 4th)

I've always had good experiences with palettes from BH Cosmetics. Both their product and customer service is great! I haven't yet tried their 120 palettes, which is why I ordered 3 different ones for them. I find them to be useful for both personal and business-wise (mua). I bought these during one of their sales, I don't remember which one though. But, I'm glad to share my review with you all about these AMAZING palettes. =3

When I received them they were shipped in a black cardboard box with some sort of paper wrapping (I don't know how to describe it) but nothing came broken, which I'm glad! (Btw, last time I when I ordered their 21 Neutral Palette, it came in broken =[ but, I contacted their customer service and they were really nice about it because I sent my palette back thinking they would just send me another one, but they sent my broken one back along with a new one, so that was good!).

They all come packaged in this black box and inside they have bubble wrapping to help protect the shadow pans.

They also have a plastic covering to protect the plastic from getting scratched or broken which I think is great because the plastic is a shiny finish unlike the Coastal Scents palettes which are matte.

BH Cosmetics 120 Color Palette - 1st Edition

This palette has pretty much every color you could need along with several different finishes (matte, shimmer, satin, etc). They also have 6 speckled eye shadows as well. I didn't get the 2nd edition because, in my opinion, it looks very similar to this one besides being organized differently. If you were trying to figure out which palette to get from BH, this would be the palette to get first!

The top layer consists of aquas, blues, greens, yellows, and oranges. This palette also has "speckled eye shadows".

The bottom layer consists of whites/grays/blacks, some more turquoise-y blues/greens, purples, pinks, red-oranges, and more neutral colors below.

*Swatches over NYX Eyeshadow Base in Skin Tone

Here are some swatches of the colors I found interesting in the palette. =3 As you can tell from the swatches, this palette has a range of finishes. And, if you were wondering what those "speckled eye shadows" looked like, they are to the left. The matte colors are a little chalky but not a big problem to me.

BH Cosmetics 120 Color Palette - 3rd Edition

This palette has two very different layers. One consists of paler, bright colors and one side is more neutral, darker colors. It's like the yin and yang of eye shadow palettes.

The top layer has brighter, pale hues from blues to oranges and greens to yellows. They have the darker colors towards the bottom and the more pastel, lighter colors towards the top. Like the 1st edition there is also a range of finishes.

The bottom layer has more dark, neutral colors. There is also some burgundies and purples. There is also a range of finishes.

*Swatches over NYX Eyeshadow Base in Skin Tone
As you can see from the swatches, most of the top layer is mostly matte with some satin-y finishes, and the bottom has more shimmery satin-y finishes. The only con I have is that the matte shadows are a bit chalky, but not a problem with me!

BH Cosmetics 120 Color Palette - 4th Edition

As you can see, the 4th palette is all shimmery finishes. If you're not into shimmery shadows, this palette is NOT for you! I wasn't sure if I was going to LOVE this palette, but I was actually pleasantly surprised... this palette is gorgeous! You don't really appreciate the colors in the pans until you swatched these colors. The colors in this palette aren't really organized into anything, they are just randomly placed but that's okay.

Shimmeryyyyy!! *-*
The only downside I have with this palette is that some colors are super soft and some are a bit rough. But it's workable!

I also bought a brush belt. I'm having some trouble with the adjuster on the belt, but that could just be me being my confused-self because it won't stay at the length I want it to. Hmm...?

FINAL THOUGHTS:
Product: 8/10
Pigmentation: 9/10
Texture: 7/10
Longetivity: 7/10
Application: 8/10
Packaging: 9/10

Where to Buy: BHcosmetics
Shipping: I ordered when free shipping was available so that's a plus! Also, I don't think shipping cost that much anyways. It only took 7 business days to get to me!
Price: $$. These palettes are a must-have. 120 eye shadows for around $30? I think that's amazingggg. They also have a lot of sales going on!
