MY MAKEUP STORAGE AND ORGANIZATION

So, I decided to do this post to show how I organize my makeup/lotion/hair products/etc. because I think I have a pretty good system for my makeup. I find things quickly and everything is in place and I love being organized. It's important to organize your makeup because you won't lose anything and it keeps your makeup from getting ruined or broken! I've seen several makeup storage videos and blog posts and I just though I would contribute!

Okay so this is were all of my makeup is stored. I have a desk from IKEA (the hutch came separate) and then I have the matching cabinet thing also from IKEA.

As you can see, I use plastic drawers of various sizes to store my makeup. I think it's the best way if you have a lot of makeup. I get these drawers from Walmart, and they aren't that much money either!

In the first 3 drawers, I have these desk inserts to separate my makeup products. I plan on getting more but I'm content with just 3 for now! They are also inexpensive.

On top, I have a desk organizer that my mom had given me and I use it to organize my palettes. You can get these from any office store, even Target/Walmart have them!

On top of my hutch, I have a Q-tip holder along with some nail polishes. To organize my brushes, I bought plastic tumblers from Walmart and filled them with tiny beads from AC Moore and just stuck them in. I have about 5 of those.

Inside my vanity drawer, I use a kitchen organizer (normally used for forks, spoons, etc.) for my "most-used" products. They're easily accessible and organized.

I also have a plastic organizer inside my vanity drawer to hold all of my clips and hair ties.

In the bottom cabinets, I have two baskets to hold random things and makeup. Then I have two more plastic organizers storing more makeup.

In my closet, I have two bigger plastic drawers with wheels on them which hold makeup bags, lotions, hair products, and more makeup palettes that didn't fit in the office organizer. On top of one, I just have a shoe box containing the products I use daily, but I plan on getting a more cuter basket to hold them in!

So that's all I have right now! It may take a little bit of work but organizing your stuff, whether it's makeup or not, makes your life sooo much easier! xo

About Me!

Since I haven't really had an "About Me" yet, I thought I'd just do one now! Okay! So...

Basics: I'm 19 years old and I'll be 20 in March! Everyone tells me I look so much younger than I am! I was born and raised in Central, New Jersey. I'm very weird and awkward but once you get to know me, you'll get used to it. I have a boyfriend of 1 year and 3 months and his name is Dillon. He makes me super super happy! I'm definitely a child at heart. Besides makeup and shopping, I have an obsession with Dream Catchers and Diamonds. In my free time I like to play my keyboard, go on Maple Story (BEST GAME EVERRRRR, I'm a Ice/Lightning Mage :D), and playing video games, especially Zelda.

My makeup background: I graduated makeup school and I have certificates in both Beauty Makeup and SPFX Makeup. I plan on being a freelance makeup artist and blogger. Before making the decision to become a makeup artist, I studied Graphic Design and it has helped me tons in the makeup industry because of my creativity and artistic background. I've always been collecting makeup and it has become an obsession of mine! I love trying out new products (high-end to drugstore to indie) and putting together different colors and looks.

HAUL: Sugarpill

Shipping was fast/average and everything was covered with pink tissue paper. I also received a personal thank-you on my info sheet which I thought was a nice touch.

Nothing came broken and none of the jars spilled.

All of the pigments I ordered along with a Sugarpill sticker which I think is the cutest sticker ever because it's glittery!!! And my order also came with a business card, and a free sample.

The sample I received was Junebug and I'm happy it wasn't a pigment I ordered because I hate when companies give me a sample I already have a full size of! So that was a good thing. I also was debating on whether to get Junebug too but I decided not too so maybe once I try the sample I will order it eventually!

Along with the pigments, I also ordered a single eyeshadow in Bulletproof since the 2 palettes don't come with the black and I've heard so many good reviews on how pigmented it is.

*The lids are soooo cute! And so are the boxes *-*

*From left to right: Lumi, Royal Sugar, Asylum, Absinthe, Darling, Goldilux, and Tiara.

Lumi - You can't see it in the picture really but the color is white with a turquoise sheen with a bit of blue and green and when you put it over a color or black the color transforms.

Royal Sugar - The main reason why I wanted to buy Sugarpill Loose Shadows. This color is so gorgeous! It's a bright blue with a bit of glitter. If you add a bit of Fyrinnae's Pixie Epoxy before applying this, the glitter definitely shows a lot more!

Asylum - Bright red with sparkles!

Absinthe - Shimmery, vivid lime green with yellow undertones. I don't have many green shadows, because it's not one of my favorite colors, but this color is soooo pretty, I couldn't resist!

Darling - Teal with iridescent turquoise sparkles. I'm obsessed with turquoise colors!

Goldilux - I HAD to get this color because I've never ever seen a gold color like this before! It's a metallic gold with a high shine.

Tiara - Metallic silver with a high shine.

*For some reason all of the jars were filled at different levels? I've seen this before on another blog so I guess that's pretty common from them? Hmm.

Swatches! From left to right: Lumi, Tiara, Goldilux, Asylum, Royal Sugar, and Absinthe.
